Germanic natural wonders

You should know our country, Colombia is the second richiest country when it comes to natural wonders, our country is rich in wide varity of coal, without taking into account that the biggest coal mine of  South America is located here in LA GUAJURA. Colombia is also rich in gold, silver, petrol and emeralds and some others minerlas, besides countless animal species. 

Mine "El cerrejón"

is 69 hectarares large 

produces 25 million of tonelades per year

Today will not be concerned about Colombia though, in our second chapter of interculturality we are exploring and comparing the natural wonders of Germany. The strongest economy amount the EU and the third one worldwide. This country is also well known by its car brands such as BMW or Mercedes Benz and so on. When it come to natural wonders, Germany is not as rich as Colombia, The natural wonders of this germanic country are based on some minerals some of which will be listed. 

1. Lignite: 

Lignite is the most impure varity of coal, is the most abundant varity of this mineral thoug. It has bigger caloric concentration and it is more wet and volatile than othe types of coal. 

2. Uranium: 

Uranium is a radioctive element, created naturally, It is mostly manipulated in nuclear factories to produce energy. This element is created by the mix of three diffent isotopes. 

3. Nickel:

Nickel is a kind of metal, it is hard and its color it silver. It is mostly used to produce coins, zips and white gold. 

Mine Garzweiler 

It is the largest coal mine in Germany.

It is 48 KM large 

produces 25 million of coal per year 

(As much coal production as El Cerrejón)

I hope you have enjoyed learning a little bit about the natural wonders of these countries. I would like to extend a short reflexion to you, even though seemly Germany is as rich as Colombia. (when it comes to coal) Germany is quite poorer than Colombia regarding to other natural wonders such as badlands. And even though this European country is one of the richest worldwide, while Colombia keep being a country on develpment path. Perhaps, we don't know how to manage all the wonders we have or just we have no able to, don't you think?
